Transforming companies and making the world a better place through innovative, proven solutions is my lifelong obsession. As an educator at NYU and UMSL for over ten years, a parent for sixteen years, a serial Entrepreneur / Intrapreneur / Operator-turned Investor / certified Executive Coach, and a learner for life -- education, disruption, continuous improvement, innovation, and performance to potential, are very personal to me. How we prepare today's leaders for tomorrow's future is a huge responsibility -- one that takes courage, vision, curiosity, humility, confidence, foresight, and experience, as well as the right tools, processes and methodologies. I like to think of myself as an "agent" or "advocate" of personal and professional transformation. It's in my DNA and what I do. It is my WHY.

As Founder / CEO of MassiveU, I signed an international collaboration deal with Xinhua Bookstore, the leading textbook distributor in China with 12,000 physical locations. Executing on international market expansion and transforming education, globally, at scale, is something that makes me run to the shower each morning.
While serving as Publisher & Co-Founder at In Tune Partners, I launched the first editable social media site for music classrooms called OurMusicClass.com. It was really cool and a great way to stream news and In Tune content, while allowing middle and high school music classrooms the ability to update their own news, calendar of events and highlights. It was around 2010 and way ahead of its time, yet served as a great value add for the teachers, students, parents and classrooms we served.
SMART Marketing Solutions was the second direct marketing agency I started. We supported campaigns for leading brands Bic, Playtex and Rogaine, and 30+ colleges and universities, as well as several small and growth stage companies. Also, under SMS, I launched SMART-eMailer, a direct response email platform to serve our customers and scale our business.
In Tune was an idea I had as the Publisher of Musician magazine (actually it started as Teen Musician, like Teen People). My former boss from Billboard approached me, years later, to co-found it with him, so we did. Today, In Tune is used (actually disguised) as a hip, cool (integrated digital + print) textbook in EVERY middle and high school across the United States. Inspiring more kids to pick up an instrument and / or play music longer, makes my heart sing.
As an instructional designer and professor at NYU, I launched the first course taught online and over mobile phones. NYU wanted my course to be their first MOOC (yes, I was super flattered) which led to me starting MassiveU. Resourcefulness and vision pay off.
In 2013, I founded MassiveU, a 21st Century B2B digital EdTech PLAAS company, that would impact teaching and learning in K12, HIED, Adult Learning & Corp. L&D, globally. I raised Series A & B financing and built a sustainable, scalable business model w a super team of pros. Today, the platform is used as a "digital differentiator" by leading partners Pearson, MHE, Blackboard and several others. It's awesome to think my own kids have an opportunity to learn on a product I helped bring to market!
While at NBSA, an online job readiness training company, I closed a $6M contract that helped re-train and re-employ 15,000 displaced hurricane Katrina survivors, working closely with The Salvation Army. I learned a lot about working with employers and job readiness. Most of all, it was a rewarding experience to help so many in need.
From yrs of refining experiential learning, Solvably, the 1st collaborative, creative problem solving platform for lifelong learners, came to fruition. It's the perfect marriage of design thinking + Google docs on steroids + Escape Rooms and is forever changing how we teach and learn. Solvably won the EdTech Digest '21 Solution of the Year award for 21st Century Skills and I'm super proud of this product. Solvably and dlab were recently sold to Talogy (fmr PSI Services) in 2/22.
After the sale of MassiveU's Solvably and dlab products, I was brought on to Talogy as an Intrapreneur to lead the integration, while I continue to support MassiveU's PBSL product and accounts as a Board Member. Solvably and dlab (my pseudo children - I know, that sounds weird) are now in Talogy's hands and well positioned for even more greatness! Another proud moment for sure!
"Everyone needs a coach!" Bill Gates You got that straight! I learned this the hard way and could've saved and expedited on tons of money, time, and top talent... As a Certified ScalingUp Coach, I teach, facilitate, and coach leaders - committed to change - on how to scale business, utilize proven tools and processes, and reach their personal and professional potential. I am extra proud to support clients currently going through exit and capital raise processes at healthy multiples.
Seeing a need for AI Literacy and not completing my personal mission of edu transformation on a global scale (yet), I re-acquired/re-launched Solvably with an AI Center of Excellence to support AI Literacy for ALL! I'm boldly calling AI Literacy the newest 21st Century Competency. Can't wait to expose this to the world!
We figured out that we could evaluate, assess, report on, and certify team-based as well as individual competencies and solution feasibility using authentic and AI-powered assessment technologies - so we launched credably.ai - and released the world's first AI + HI Literacy (artificial and human intelligence) certification for students and workforce. This closes the loop on behavioral change and is TRULY groundbreaking! I mean, new element on periodic scale-like, groundbreaking!
